Owl Pellet Science Club | Hands-On STEM Workshop for Kids
(Grades 3–9)
The Owl Pellet Science Club is an exciting, hands-on STEM workshop for kids that introduces students in grades 3–9 to real scientific investigation through owl pellet dissection. Hosted at the Grinton Will Yonkers Public Library, this interactive science experience encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for biology and nature.
During this owl pellet dissection workshop, students act as junior scientists as they carefully examine real owl pellets to discover what owls eat, identify tiny bones from rodents and birds, and learn how scientists use physical evidence to study food chains and ecosystems. This engaging activity combines biology, anatomy, and environmental science in a fun, age-appropriate format.
Perfect for parents looking for STEM enrichment programs, science clubs for kids, or educational weekend activities, this workshop offers meaningful learning beyond the classroom.
